GregorStory

[Fixing download link, sorry about that.]

My current and most ambitious project, GregorStory is a platform game with a humorous yet dramatic plot, frantic action, and lot's of brain puzzles. Or at least it will be, once I'm finished with it, haha. It's in early beta stages right now but progressing smoothly, and I'm sure before too long I'll have another working version up. The game, programed in Gamemaker, will feature:

A large and dynamic storyline, complete with script and characters.

A large variety of different gameplay features, such as combat, basic platforming, swimming, puzzles, and other such fun stuff.

Beautifully designed pixel art backgrounds and scenery, made by yours truly, such as jungles, forests, cities, oceans, meadows, snowy plains, and techno.

And, maybe co-op.

Plot Summary: After Gregor the stoat is stolen from, he goes on a quest to retrieve his stolen goods. Along the way he meets Serria Sunflower, a strong but stubborn ferret and together they find out that the simple thieves are way worse then they seem.

This is Gregorvitch July Thompson, though his friend and family just call him Gregor. He's a sad, meek, timid, depressed little stoat, but kind and cute as a button! He's probably my favorite character out of all of mine, and he's meant to be the "Woobie" in his little group.

This, is Colin Crêpe and the Blob. Colin's a weasel, the Blob is a... Well, blob. Colin is an adventurer by trade, having left home at fifteen to explore the entire world he had a bunch of zany adventures, one of which was even in space. That's where he met the blob, which is a gooey thing that displays only one emotion and sucks the energy out of mammals that come into physical contact with it.

I'm serious, the rain here is coming down hard, and the lightning sounds like something the size of a city block is crashing into the ground. All in all, it's pretty awesome, and makes some great ambiance for the day-to-day activities.

GregorStory is coming along slowly, I've mostly been working on the design documents and I added a few more score items but thats pretty much it. Still lots to be done on this whopper of a game.

So, what's up with you guys?

Hello, and welcome to my profile.

I’m TrentVermin, and I’m a pixel and anthro artist. I’ve been drawing and spriting for about two years now and I’ve had loads of fun the whole way. I’m a programmer, who is currently working on a few games at the moment. There is one I’m trying to work on almost fanatically, and you can find more info about it on the left side of my profile.

I’ve got an alt account that’s heavy in anthro, so if you like my style, best give that a watch too.

Random facts about me:

1. I love videogames, which is rather apparent if one looks at my gallery.

And I especially love the sprite based ones.

2. My anthro artwork was inspired by the works of the late Brian Jacques. His books were the primary catalyst.
3. I have OCD and ADHD, both of which pose a rather constant difficulty in my everyday life, but I've learned to live with them, so it's not all bad.

4. I love stoats, but cats are my favorite animals. Huh, go figure.

5. I watch television when I search the web. But that's not unique at all is it.

, today has been quite the Saturday. I look forward to us playing TF2 tomorrow if we get the chance

. I was playing today, but mostly trading. I believe it's safe to say I'm not a very good scrap banker XD. I've been doing more buying (not real money, but scrap money) than actually making profits. Though I was able to sell a gunslinger and cow mangler for scrap (each, so 2 scrap). But anyways, I scrap banked for a bit, but mostly crated a reclaimed metal (two). But anyways, long story short, I tried hard to get something nice, but simply don't have enough time before you get back. Thankfully though, you're a stoat with simple interests

. So, I have a nifty surprise for you when you get back (A gift). I tried looking for a particular weapon, but it hasn't been released yet

. But since you said you didn't care much for stranges, I thought this gift would be nice enough for you

. It's free anyway, so, no complaining

. Hope camp was alright for you

, and if not, then, I hope playing together again would cheer you up. Man, a pretty interesting Saturday

So, I woke up at 8:00 after having a dream I forgot about

, but I can remember that I had a nice sleep. Then, a couple minutes after I woke up, BOOM, earthquake

. It was small, and only lasted like 2 seconds or so. Turns out upon watching the news right after, it happened 10 miles out from my city

. (It's not often when your city is mentioned in the news) and it was a 4.1 magnitude earthquake

. Wonder if I'd feel the after shock. My mom didn't feel it because she was in her restroom, but yeah

, there's no mistaking that scary crack like thunder an earthquake makes. It's actually kinda cool

, the sound I mean, how even if it happened 10 miles out we're able to hear it (perhaps it's the shock wave). Sucks about the damage an earthquake does of course
